The design team at Van Technologies has developed a Urethane Washcoat series that far exceeds the needs of the professional wood finisher when the ultimate in quality is required.

Here are the Water Based Washcoats available at Van Technologes:

VANAQUA-410 WATERBASED WASHCOAT SERIES

The VanAqua-410 series water based washcoat is a low V.O.C. and zero H.A.P. washcoat that has been specifically formulated to provide the highest clarity of any water based washcoat, with no residual haze or milky appearance observed.  It has been formulated to enhance the natural color of the coated wood.  It prevents color fading and permits excellent adhesion to the subsequent topcoats.  It dries fast at normal room temperatures and humidity, within 10 to 20 minutes.

Formulated to be low in V.O.C.'s VanAqua-410 will meet the maximum level of environmental compliance when used as a system with VanAqua-280, VanAqua-480, and VanAqua-485 low V.O.C. wood topcoats.  For optimum performance the surface should be sealed with the VanAqua-410 washcoat, sanded slightly with a 220 grit sandpaper and topcoated with either VanAqua-480 or VanAqua-280 topcoat.  The VanAqua topcoats can be applied using many  methods including, spray, brush, and roller.
