Primer

The design team at Van Technologies knows that a primer and sealer must coat wood well, penetrate and seal the variety of pore structures in wood, and permit smooth, uniform coverage and good adhesion of subsequently applied topcoats.

Here are the water based primers available at Van Technologies:

VanAqua-200WP Water Based White Wood Primer

The VanAqua-200WP water based white wood primer is an Ultra Low V.O.C. and Zero H.A.P. primer that minimizes grain raise typically seen with water based primers!  It dries fast at normal room temperatures and humidity (within 10 to 15 minutes).  It also performs remarkably well with a wide variety of topcoats including solvent based, waterbased, radiation cured, and high solid coatings!  It is recommended that it be applied by spray, brush, or roller coating methods although other methods may be appropriate.

VanAqua-244BLK Water Based Black Wood Sealer/Primer

The VanAqua-244BLK water based wood sealer/primer is an ultra low V.O.C and zero H.A.P composition that minimizes grain raise effect typically seen with other water based coatings!  It dries fast at normal room temperatures and humidity (within 15 to 30 minutes).  It also performs remarkable well with a wide variety of topcoats including solvent based, water based, radiation cured, and high solid coatings!  It is recommended that it be applied by spray, brush, or roller coating methods although other methods may be appropriate.
