UV Curable Metal Coatings
Van Technologies offers a line of UV Curable coatings that adhere to and protect a number
of metals including aluminum, steel, iron, etc. The
UV curable direct to metal coatings provide durable, scratch resistant and/or decorative
coatings, designed and tested to promote excellent adhesion to metal surfaces.
Here are the UV curable metal coatings available at Van
Technologies:
Radur 301 UV Curable DTM Coating
Radur 301 is an environmentally compliant UV
curable urethane coating. Radur 301 cures rapidly and passes crosshatch tape
tests to a number of metal surfaces, including brass, without the need for a primer. Radur 301
will provide a durable, clear, impact resistant surface that protects the brass from
tarnishing and abrasion. This coating can be
easily sprayed, dipped, or curtain coat applied. Modifications
of this formulation are possible.
Radur 303 UV Curable DTM
Radur 303 is
an environmentally compliant UV curable epoxy coating.
Radur 303 cures rapidly and
passes crosshatch tape tests to a number of metal surfaces without the need for a primer. Radur 303 also passes tape tests
on aluminized, gold plated, and other difficult to adhere surfaces. Radur 303
is a very clear and durable exhibiting some flexibility.
This coating can be easily sprayed, dipped or curtain coat applied. Modifications of this formulation are possible.
Radur 304 Waterborne/UV Curable Coating
Radur 304 Waterborne/UV Curable
Coating is an
environmentally compliant, water based UV curable urethane coating. Radur 304
cures rapidly and passes crosshatch tape tests to a number of wood and metal surfaces
without the need for a primer. The coating
also passes tape tests on aluminized, gold plated, and other difficult to adhere to
surfaces. Radur 304 is designed to be forced dry in an 80°
C oven for five minutes. Once dry, the coating
will be tack free allowing for formation of the substrate.
Full hardness will develop once the coated material is passed under an
“H” bulb at 50ft/min. Radur 304 is very clear and durable. It can be easily sprayed, dipped, or curtain coat
applied. Modifications of this formulation are
possible.
