UV Curable Wood Primer

The design team at Van Technologies knows that a primer must coat wood well, penetrate and seal the variety of pore structures in wood, and permit smooth, uniform coverage and good adhesion of subsequently applied topcoats.

VanUltra-500 UV Curable White Wood Primer

The VanUltra-500 UV curable white wood primer coats wood well, offering good sealing properties required for any base coat.  It also provides excellent hide at thin coats of 1-2 mils.  The VanUltra-500 primer exhibits a fast cure speed for an opaque coating.  Typical cure speeds are 40-50 FPM with a 400 WPI Fusion "H" type bulb.  VanUltra-500 is a 100% solids, zero V.O.C. and zero H.A.P. primer, offering the ultimate in environmental compliance!  A variety of water based and UV curable topcoats exhibit excellent adhesion when applied to a surface primed with the VanUltra-500.  It can also be used as a satin finish topcoat when a second coat of the VanUltra-500 is applied.  It is recommended that it be applied by spray, brush, or roller coating methods although other methods may be appropriate.
